Structural Audit & Certification
Structural Audit and Certification
A structural audit means doing a health checkup of the existing structure. A structure may be damaged due to many reasons like
We are called the Orthopedic doctors of a structure.
Just like when a patient goes to an orthopedic doctor who conducts an initial test through an X-Ray and studies the report, we also carry out a comprehensive process consisting of tests and analysis which helps us solve any problems. Once we identify the problems, we address them, just like a doctor operates.
The main tests we use are ultrasound pulse velocity (U.P.V.) test and core test. After we get reports, we analyze the structure and identify the areas that need more strength. Lastly, after we do the strengthening design, our certified contractor will execute the job.
Field Survey And Preparation Of General Arrangement Drawing
To strengthen any structure, the first and foremost requirement is the existing structural drawings. As 95% of plants or heritage structures don't have their existing drawings, our team makes them. We have to do an existing survey by,
Non-destructive Testing (N.d.t.) And Visual Observation
To find the existing strength of any structure, strengthening tests are required. It is important that there is no damage to an existing structure. As a result, our team performs Non-destructive tests. We are doing the following non-destructive testing on the structure.
Structural Re-analysis And Re-designing
Based on structural Field survey data and NDT testing, we do structural re-analysis in our custom-made state-of-the-art software. We have also developed a design spreadsheet for analysis. Upon studying the reports, we identify where we need to add extra strength. Based on that, we carry out structural redesigning.
Structural Certification
Our team certifies a structure for calculated load condition based on General arrangement drawings, NDT data, structural re-analysis, re-designing, and other data received. In addition, we provide a structural stability certificate for the same. We also provide a full report on the condition of the structure.
